Grab and Go: Free November Lessons and Printables

November can be a tough teaching month. You feel the days getting shorter while at the same time, the content gets tougher. Sprinkle in a few holidays among the data meetings and planning sessions, and the stress mounts. There have been many times in the past when my students and I needed a break from the academic push, but I couldn’t give up on standards altogether. And because of those moments, I’d be spending Sunday nights scanning the web to find free, fun, fall-themed work that didn’t feel so serious.

Here I’ve collected some grab-and-go, free Scholastic Teachables and partnered them with activities to ratchet up the learning potential. I broke out suggestions by grade level, but take a peek outside your normal grade to find useful tools for any age.
